We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Project Engineer with strong industrial experience and a background in mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will have exposure to the process industry and proven experience working on tank storage projects
. This role involves supporting the design, assessment, and delivery of structural solutions across industrial facilities, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out structural design and analysis for industrial facilities, equipment supports, and storage tanks.
- Provide engineering input during feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning stages.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Work closely with mechanical, civil, and process engineers to develop integrated solutions.
- Conduct site inspections, structural assessments, and integrity reviews of storage tanks and supporting infrastructure.
- Support project delivery, from initial concept through to detailed design and handover.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and calculations to a high professional standard.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status (ICE, IStruct E, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in industrial and process engineering environments
- Strong mechanical engineering background with knowledge of structural applications.
- Hands‑on experience with tank storage facilities or similar heavy industrial projects
(highly desirable).
- Proficient in structural design software and CAD tools.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant codes and standards (Eurocodes, API, BS, ASME, etc.).
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Previous work within oil & gas, chemicals, or energy industries.
- Experience with structural integrity management of above‑ground storage tanks.
- Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and inspection methods for tankage.
