About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Marketing Coordinator to support Populous marketing and communications activity across our EMEA region. This role is ideal for a candidate looking to develop a career in marketing and communications within the architecture and built environment sector. Reporting to the Brand Marketing Manager, the role involves coordinating award submissions, supporting conference and event attendance, updating website content, and providing ad‑hoc support across all areas of marketing and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Awards & Submissions
- Coordinate award submissions: manage schedules, deadlines and entry requirements.
- Liaise with awards account managers.
- Gather project information, imagery and supporting material from project teams.
- Draft, edit and format submission text.
- Design and lay out submissions.
- Upload submissions and maintain records of outcomes.
- Maintain and update the regional and global awards trackers and calendars, coordinating submissions with other regions where applicable.
- Events & Conferences
- Support the coordination of conference and event participation.
- Manage conferences calendar.
- Handle delegate bookings, registrations and confirmations.
- Coordinate attendance with business leaders.
- Prepare required copy and coordinate marketing content.
- Develop presentations for company speakers.
- Content & Copywriting
- Assist with regular updates of the practice’s website and content libraries.
- Editing, updating and uploading content, including case studies, news articles and staff profiles.
- Editing and proofreading text to ensure clarity, consistency and tone of voice.
- Select imagery that best showcases our project designs and people.
- Marketing Administration & Team Support
- Provide ongoing support across all external and internal marketing and communications.
- Help maintain marketing databases, image libraries (Open Asset) and document templates.
- Support organisation of monthly recurring marketing events and meetings.
- Assist with preparation of presentations and promotional materials.
- Support monitoring of website mailboxes and forward relevant enquiries to global departments.
- Work collaboratively with Business Development and project teams and senior staff to gather information and meet deadlines.
- Liaise with PR agencies across EMEA to ensure timely flow of information and materials.
Key Requirements
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills.
- Good visual communications skills with ability to create presentations that align with brand guidelines.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); a good eye for design and familiarity with content management systems and Adobe InDesign is desirable but not essential.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive, reliable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading ability.
- Degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications or a related field.
