About The Role

This role sits within our Wayfinding team and plays a key part in the ideation and design of Wayfinding projects within the built environment. We are seeking a graphic designer with experience and a keen interest in Wayfinding, who will collaborate closely with the team to create innovative and emotionally meaningful wayfinding design systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in pushing creative boundaries to continue to enhance the graphic design output of the team.
  • Bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the team through research, knowledge and expertise.
  • Develop wayfinding graphic systems from initial concept to detailed design documents.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, design sprints, internal workshops to bring a graphic design perspective to design discussions.
  • Contribute to the creation of wayfinding strategy reports and the production of clear, compelling presentations.
  • Take ownership of graphic design presenting both internally in team workshops, and to clients as and when required.

Key Requirements

  • A passion for design and pushing creative boundaries.
  • A drive for originality, with a talent for inventing fresh ideas.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent conceptual and strategic thinking skills with a user centred focus.
  • Expertise in typography, colour, layout, and pictogram design that bring wayfinding systems to life.
  • Experience of creating and working with design guidelines.
  • Skilled at crafting graphical wayfinding systems from a conceptual design narrative or taking inspiration from an existing brand.
  • Experience in working on large scale projects.
  • Confident managing multiple projects and revisions, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Confident presenting to clients.
  • A people person – open minded who will bring your perspective, personality and culture to our team.
