The Legal Assistant / Paralegal will provide comprehensive support to the Legal team by assisting with document preparation, contract management, research, matter organisation, and administrative support. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth functioning of legal processes, maintaining high-quality documentation standards, and supporting efficient workflow across legal operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Draft, proofread and format legal documents, including contracts, NDAs, letters, and board resolutions.
- Assist with contract lifecycle management: preparation, execution, tracking, renewals, and filing.
- Conduct legal and factual research using internal databases and external resources and summarise findings.
- Organise, index, and maintain legal files and matter records.
- Support litigation matters including preparing bundles and coordinating with external counsel.
- Support compliance activities including policy updates and regulatory filings.
- Administrative support such as scheduling, invoice processing, and data retention management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certification.
- Prior experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and confidentiality standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with document management or CLM systems is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Discretion handling sensitive information.
- Proactive mindset and ability to work collaboratively.
