An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Payroll Officer/Payroll Services Advisor to join the Payroll Services team to support our payroll shared services for clients across the Black Country and beyond, processing circa 45,000 employees. Based in our Parklands Office in Stoke, you will be responsible for a section of payroll for day‑to‑day processing, inputting and calculation associated with providing an excellent payroll service.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll processing, accurately calculating and administering a designated payroll portfolio including all variations to pay and details affecting pay for staff concerned.
  • Dealing with employee queries through various communication methods.
  • Completing all administration for a designated payroll portfolio inclusive of \’P\’ forms (P45/P46/P60/P6) and sending standard letters to employees and external bodies.
  • Ensuring the provision of a \’gold standard\’ pensions service to employees.
  • Assisting with the ongoing development of internal Payroll procedures and controls.
  • Assisting Team Leaders with HMRC on taxation issues.
  • Accurately calculating and administering a designated payroll portfolio including all variations to pay and details affecting pay for staff concerned.

Requirements

  • Experience with an Oracle based system such as the Electronic Staff Record (ESR).
  • Excellent understanding of statutory legislation.
  • Sound knowledge of IT and confident use of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of EASY helpful but not essential.
