Popsa is a global memory curation platform that uses AI and on-device intelligence to turn noisy photo libraries into curated stories and physical keepsakes. Your role will be to make Popsa the answer people find when they go looking for a way to turn their camera roll into something real, whichever platform they use from traditional search to AI. Reporting to the Head of Organic Growth you will help drive our next phase of growth across the web, ensuring our platform is the first choice for millions reconnecting with their memories. That means knowing our market and our competitors, finding the gaps in our strategy, and understanding how to close them. You will have autonomy and freedom across SEO/AEO/GEO to choose the right approach for the right problem. Your biggest responsibility will be identifying our top growth opportunities, and working closely with a cross functional team of engineers, writers, and PR specialists to deliver a plan that meets our ambitions for the web.
Right now is one of the most exciting moments to join Popsa. Deloitte named us one of the UK’s fastest-growing technology companies, and the Financial Times recognised Popsa among the Top 5 fastest-growing software companies in Europe. We’re backed by world-class investors, and the world is noticing. Our iOS and Android apps are available in 12 languages, trusted by more than 10 million people who have created over 5 million photobooks shipped to 50+ countries. With more than 350,000 five-star reviews, we’re one of the highest-rated consumer apps anywhere. But the real story isn’t the numbers and it’s the memories behind them. We’re living in a time where we capture more photos than ever before. Billions of moments sitting unseen in camera rolls and clouds, mixed with screenshots, receipts, or where we parked the car. We are great at documenting life… but not so great at preserving the meaning in it. Popsa is changing that. Since launching in 2016, we’ve built an award-winning platform that removes every barrier to transforming your favourite memories into something beautifully tangible. No design skills. No time-sink. Just the joy of holding real stories in your hands. A celebration of the people and moments that make life worth living. This is only the beginning.
Today, we’re best known for photobooks, but our ambition goes far beyond printing. Popsa is creating a new generation of personalised experiences that combine advanced AI, thoughtful design and behavioural science. Our goal? To help people emotionally process, reflect and connect with the meaningful events and relationships in their lives. To ensure memories don’t fade, but flourish. From smarter storytelling tools to products that support wellbeing and strengthen bonds across the world, we’re reimagining how humanity remembers.
We’re deliberate about what is processed on-device, what is uploaded, and how customer content is protected, so people can trust us with their most personal memories.
Key responsibilities
- Own how Popsa appears in organic search, across both traditional and AI, and help set the strategy for improving it.
- Conduct keyword, audience, trends, and search-intent research across LLMs, search engines and other discovery platforms (e.g. Pinterest, YouTube, Reddit).
- Run competitor content gap analysis and turn findings into actionable recommendations for editorial and creative.
- Use AI tools to automate repeat processes, undertake data analysis and build your own marketing/SEO agents.
- Write detailed editorial content briefs specifying user intent, target queries, structure, and internal linking strategies.
- Audit and optimise existing content and category pages, looking at our copy, headings, page structure, and internal links.
- Monitor organic search and AI visibility performance across priority pages, feeding insights into future planning and performance reporting.
- Collaborate with digital PR and localisation teams to ensure alignment on link-building, mentions, and translated market priorities.
- Present clear, non-technical SEO recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders in product and marketing.
Skills & experience
- Hands-on SEO experience, in house or agency, with the fundamentals well understood and practiced.
- Experience using AI tools like chatgpt or claude to work alongside you, building workflows and automating tasks.
- Practical keyword research, competitor analysis and content gap analysis experience, using tools like Ahrefs, Semrush or similar.
- Confident analysing performance (Google Analytics, Google Search Console etc) and comfortable enough in spreadsheets to segment data and reach your own conclusions.
- Evidence you can brief and work with writers, and that you understand the difference between content that ranks and content that reads well.
- Real curiosity about AI search, with evidence you have tested things yourself rather than only read about them.
Nice to have…
- Useful but not required: Experience with ecommerce or direct-to-consumer experience & international SEO.
Personal attributes
- Commercial instinct. You should be able to explain why a piece of work matters in terms of customers and revenue, not only rankings.
- Clear, persuasive communication, particularly with people who do not work in search.
