Purpose of the Post
POPS is part of the Greater Manchester Women Support Alliance (GMWSA). POPSâ Women Centre in Oldham provides genderâspecific support and interventions to women with complex needs, including women subject to Probation supervision or impacted by the wider criminal justice system. The purpose of the post is to work with all women who are referred to POPSâ women centre. The post holder will deliver a range of advice and interventions to support women to address and resolve identified issues and develop strategies to bring about positive changes to their lives.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Maintaining comprehensive case notes.
- Ensuring all required electronic case management systems are up to date.
- Working closely with Probation staff.
Accountability: POPSâ Womenâs Service Lead
Main Tasks:
- Maintain a welcoming, positive and supportive environment to ensure women engage with the service and can progress and achieve their goals.
- Work effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of support and interventions.
- Work on a case management basis, manage caseload, maintain comprehensive and accurate case notes.
- Ensure all data and case records are updated using assigned electronic case management systems.
- Undertake 1â1 assessments with women where required using the Outcome Star Assessment Tool.
- Create an action plan for all women following assessment of needs.
- Deliver advice and a range of interventions to women, to support them to achieve agreed goals, milestones and outcomes.
- Coordinate and document referrals to partner agencies for specialist interventions, support or activities (e.g. Recovery Services).
- Work collaboratively with other agencies who are part of the GMWSA and Integrated Rehabilitation Services in Oldham, area â e.g. Accommodation provider.
- Undertake reviews to ensure continued engagement, monitor progress, and measure achievement of milestones and outcomes.
- Achieve assigned targets and meet all contractual KPIs and designated deadlines.
- Contribute to meetings where required â e.g. MAPPA meetings, Child Protection Meetings.
- Produce a minimum of one written case study per month.
- Work on a flexible basis to meet the needs of the service.
- Undertake any other duties as requested by POPSâ line manager.
- Undertake mandatory training and other CPD activities where required.
- Maintain professional boundaries.
- Work within the parameters of POPSâ Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
