We are seeking a warm, proactive, and self-managing Housekeeper / Cook to support a lovely British family based in Oxshott, Surrey
This is a live-out position for a Family of 6 (including four boys aged between 9-16 years old), working within a well-run, informal household – and working alongside a longstanding Nanny/Housekeeper
Responsibilities include;
- Daily family-style cooking of nutritious meals including dinners for the children and the Principals (e.g. casseroles, steamed salmon, vegetables), and ability to follow recipies andto cater to dietary needs, including gluten-free and dairy-free
- Laundry and ironing to a high standard, general tidying, household organisation and cleaning (working alongside the long-term Housekeeper); management and organisation of adult s closets and children s clothing and school kits
- Being a child-friendly presence, especially when covering the Nanny Housekeeper s leave – and support with pet care for a lovely cavapoo dog, including occasional feeding and walking
Based on a 40 hours per-week schedule, working shifts may vary between early starts (e.g. 7:30am) or later finishes (e.g. 9:00pm) depending on the needs of the household. Occasional weekend work, in addition to the willingness to travel with the family overseas are also required
Candidates should be organised, proactive, and self-managing with a calm, helpful attitude. Candidates who can drive would be a strong plus
