A family in Kensington is looking for an experienced and proactive nanny who can also assist with family cooking.

They have two children, a 12-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy, and would love to find someone the eldest can look up to – a positive role model who feels relatable and “cool,” yet responsible and kind. The role involves school pick-ups around 4pm, helping with homework, organising activities, and keeping the children’s routines on track. The family would like someone confident commuting around London, whether it’s the school run or taking the children to meet friends and attend activities.

Alongside childcare, the family would value someone who enjoys cooking and is happy to prepare healthy, balanced meals two to three times a week for both the children and parents. They prefer low-carb, high-protein recipes, and Mum in particular cares a lot about food and would appreciate a nanny who takes pride in what they cook. The role also includes keeping the children’s rooms tidy and organised, making sure everything is where it should be, and generally helping the household run smoothly.

The ideal candidate will be both fun and firm – someone who can keep the atmosphere positive and relaxed while still maintaining boundaries and structure. They should be team-oriented and communicative, working closely with Mum in a “divide and conquer” approach to family life. The family needs a nanny who is highly organised, proactive, and willing to take initiative, whether it’s helping the children stay focused or finding an article or activity to support their learning.
