Role and responsibilities:
A warm, professional family based in St John’s Wood are seeking an experienced, emotionally intuitive nanny to support the care of their 10-month-old daughter on a part-time, long-term basis. You will be caring for a bright, sensitive and energetic baby who thrives on engagement, consistency, and a calm, attuned approach. She can take a little time to warm up, so a gentle, patient manner is key, alongside an understanding of how to balance stimulation with a quieter, more observant presence.
The role will primarily cover afternoons, supporting the lead-up to bedtime with play, developmental activities, and maintaining a calm, positive rhythm to the day. There may also be occasional morning cover (e.g. 10:00am–1:00pm), so some flexibility is appreciated. Both parents work from home, so confidence with both shared care and sole charge is essential. They are looking for someone who is naturally engaging, present and warm, but equally comfortable stepping back and allowing space as and when needed.
Mum typically prepares healthy, homemade meals for the child, though occasional support with cooking will be appreciated. All housekeeping is fully covered, allowing you to focus solely on childcare and development. The family are flexible in terms of working days and can accommodate different schedules across the week or weekend for the right candidate. They do travel and are happy to consider candidates who are either open to travelling with them or prefer not to.
Opportunity and expectations:
This is a lovely long-term opportunity for a nanny who brings a calm, intuitive presence and enjoys building a meaningful connection within a respectful and flexible household.
