Overview
Key Day Nursery is looking for a new Childcare Apprentice. You will be studying toward an Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Level 2 / 3, dependent on prior experience.
Welcome to our nursery. We offer a full‑time professional childcare service of the highest quality in a homely atmosphere for children aged from 6 weeks up to 5 years.
Responsibilities
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through play and planned activities.
- Assist with daily care routines, including feeding, changing and personal care.
- Help meet the personal, social and emotional needs of individual children.
- Deliver adult‑led activities and interactions under supervision.
- Support practitioners in creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions.
- Follow all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, child protection and confidentiality.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues.
- Support the nursery team with day‑to‑day operations and activities.
- Assist with emergency and fire evacuation procedures when required.
- Work collaboratively as part of a professional nursery team.
- Undertake training and development opportunities relevant to the role.

There is a possibility of being offered a full‑time role after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
