For Companies A cook is required 10 hours a week , must be Thursdays and Fridays , 9-2pm, to cook simple , healthy batch meals for children at our nursery, you do not have to have experience in a nursery or working with children but you would need to have some sort of previous experience working in a restaurant / cafe or catering environment and experience cooking for those who may have allergies or dietary requirements. Happy to consider retired cooks or cooks looking to get back into work, also those who may of studied or are currently studying catering / food related subject.
Cook Requirements –
– Previous experience cooking in a restaurant / cafe or catering environment , school/nursery experience a bonus but not essential or be studying catering / food related course
– Able to work alone , as this role is working alone in a kitchen with no team.
– Experience to cooking for those who have dietary requirements and food allergies
– Happy with part-time/10 hours a week
Cook Duties –
– Cook simple healthy meals for children
– Ability to cook for those who have dietary requirements / allergies
– Ability to clean and maintain a clean and tidy kitchen , including any mopping of floors and cleaning surfaces.
– Full awareness of food hygiene and ideally you would of completed a level 2/level 3 in good hygiene
– Ability to cook on time and to schedule
– Happy to work in a childcare environment and can interact with children when serving them
