We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to provide short-term director cover on a live construction project in the Barbican/EC1 area of London.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, coordinating trades and subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, to the required quality and in line with the construction programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management and supervision of the site
- Coordinate trades, labour and subcontractors
- Ensure works remain on programme and are completed in accordance with drawings and instructions
- Monitor and maintain quality, health & safety and environmental standards
- Ensure compliance with site policies and procedures
- Manage site documentation and document control
- Maintain a professional and well-organised site environment
- Lead and support the site team as required
Requirements
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Construction-related qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Carpentry trade background preferred
- Must have CIS in place
