Our Repairs team is looking for a Building Surveyor to undertake all building surveying related activities on a defined patch. You will work as a team to ensure that all properties are safe, warm, dry and comply with requirements and deliver a fast, efficient, value for money repair service that achieves consistently high levels of resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertaking surveys to diagnose cause and remedial action required
- Preparing technical reports, detailed specifications and scheme design drawings.
- Ensuring that contractors perform in line with expectation, and that any areas of weakness are addressed
- Working closely with other Building Surveyors to ensure that surveying services are always covered and assisting with the smooth running of all surveying related schemes
- Providing technical advice, support and practical assistance to the Repairs Team, Asset Compliance Team and Asset Investment Team and other Poplar HARCA staff
This is an exciting role with ongoing training and support provided to help you develop and progress within the organisation. We are looking for someone who has the correct balance of people and technical skills, who can build strong relationships with the contractors and residents on their patch and deliver an excellent customer-focused service.
