My client is looking for a Financial Controller to work full time in their Mayfair, London offices. £100-£130,000 base + bonus, 30 days holiday and pension Some headline info – Incredible well-funded and capitalised commercial lending bank. – Property Lending for international HNW. – Had full UK banking license since 2022 – 80 staff today and going through rapid build out. Key role specific responsibilities Managing the financial control of the Bank, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial results, and support the Treasury team in the preparation of ALCO reporting. Assist in the preparation of financial planning, including providing input into cost budgets and value management. Take charge of critical accounting areas such as hedge accounting, revenue recognition and loan loss provisioning, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards. Key responsibilities as a member of Bank’s management team Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions. Provide guidance on upcoming technical accounting standards. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, assign work, and delegate tasks effectively. Mandatory Key Skills & Experience 5+ years experience in a FC role. Currently or very recently worked for a bank or lender. Demonstrable experience of running a team. Demonstrable experience of hedge accounting, revenue recognition and / or loan loss provisioning. Strong technical accounting skills, with an ability to interpret and apply accounting principles and regulations. Relevant experience gained from working with similar financial services organisations. Experience in leading the month-end close process and preparing financial statements.
