The Role and Candidate

The Regional Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and elevating POP MART’s visual merchandising standards across all retail stores in Europe. This role plays a central part in ensuring a cohesive and immersive brand experience across markets, while also allowing for local adaptations where relevant. You will work closely with local retail teams, the HQ VM team, and cross-functional partners in marketing and merchandising to deliver high-impact visual storytelling that drives traffic, engagement, and sales. This role requires a creative, detail-oriented visual leader who combines strong brand sensibility with hands-on execution capability in a fast-paced, high-growth retail environment.

Responsibilities

Visual Merchandising Strategy and Execution
  • Lead the development and regional rollout of POP MART’s visual merchandising standards across European markets
  • Adapt HQ’s global VM guidelines to suit regional needs while preserving brand consistency
  • Plan and execute seasonal VM refreshes, new store openings, and promotional displays
  • Oversee window concepts, focal points, fixture layouts, and in-store zoning to maximise product storytelling and shopper engagement
Store Support and Performance Enablement
  • Partner with local retail teams to train store staff and ensure VM execution meets brand and operational expectations
  • Conduct regular store visits and visual audits to assess compliance, identify opportunities, and share feedback
  • Collaborate with retail operations and merchandising teams to optimise product presentation and sell-through
  • Coordinate with marketing on campaign implementation across store environments
New Store Openings and Expansions
  • Work closely with the Retail Development and Projects teams on visual planning and execution for new store openings
  • Lead the VM setup during pre-opening phases, ensuring all elements reflect brand guidelines and are commercially effective
  • Support the post-opening transition to local teams, including handover training and tools
Cross-functional and Regional Collaboration
  • Act as the key VM contact point for merchandising, marketing, retail operations, and HQ creative teams
  • Coordinate with HQ to align regional VM execution with global product launches, promotional calendars, and campaign timelines
  • Provide feedback to HQ on regional VM needs, performance, and adaptation opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with in-market teams and support knowledge sharing across countries

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in visual merchandising, with regional or multi-country exposure
  • Experience in lifestyle, fashion, or culture-driven retail brands
  • Demonstrated experience leading VM rollouts, seasonal campaigns, and new store setups across Europe
  • Strong visual and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance brand storytelling and sales priorities
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, planogram tools, and visual presentation software
  • Understanding of fixture development, print production, or visual sourcing
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-border collaboration
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Europe

Desirable but Not Essential

  • Background in working with Asia-based headquarters or global brand teams
  • Familiarity with both permanent store environments and temporary retail formats (e.g. pop-ups or events)
  • Familiarity with basic modeling software (e.g. Sketchup)
  • Multi-lingual ability (Chinese or other European languages are a plus)
