What You Will Achieve
Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy
- Build and maintain proactive communication with key institutional stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Foster strong relationships and ensure smooth interaction with local authorities in regions where our retail stores operate.
Public Affairs & Operational Support
- Provide support for local public affairs matters, addressing operational challenges and resolving ad-hoc regulatory issues.
- Spearhead the advancement of corporate initiatives and major strategic projects in collaboration with Global Headquarters.
- Stay informed of key policy trends and legislative changes across the UK and major European markets; provide timely insights and early warnings on potential operational risks.
- Conduct in-depth research on public policy, regulatory frameworks, and compliance standards impacting the designer toy and lifestyle retail sectors.
What You Will Need
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Public Affairs, International Relations, Law, Business Management, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in public affairs or public policy; experience in multinational FMCG, retail, or chain industries is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the European retail landscape or toy industry regulations is a significant plus.
- Language Skills: English proficiency. Fluency in Mandarin, French, or German is a strong advantage for cross-border collaboration.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Strong crisis management abilities with a result-oriented mindset under high pressure.
- Additional Requirements: A genuine passion for designer toys and consumer products, with a strong alignment to our brand values.
- Ability to adapt to frequent travel across Europe.
