The Role and Candidate

We are seeking an E-Commerce Manager (Amazon Channel) for Europe/UK to launch and grow our Amazon sales across all European markets. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the end-to-end Amazon business in key European markets. As the first local EU hire on our e-commerce team, you will manage day-to-day operations while building a team of specialists to support rapid growth.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Amazon Seller Central, a strong operational mindset, and the ability to think strategically about growth opportunities. You will work closely with the existing team in China and ultimately take full ownership of EU/UK Amazon performance. This is a rare opportunity to shape our European e-commerce strategy from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Marketplace Strategy & Sales Ownership
    • Lead the end-to-end Amazon strategy for the UK and EU, taking full ownership of revenue and performance across marketplaces.
    • Develop and execute data-driven plans to grow sales, increase market share, and improve profitability.
    • Set and meet ambitious sales targets while managing key metrics including traffic, conversion, ACOS, TACOS, and ROI.
    • Continuously refine strategies based on performance data, customer insights, and competitor analysis.
    • Oversee the creation and launch of high-quality product listings for all new product introductions.
    • Ensure content is localised for each market, leveraging translation, copywriting, and creative resources.
    • Maintain full compliance with Amazon guidelines and local regulations.
    • Continuously improve listings through A/B testing, keyword optimisation, enhanced brand content (A+), updated visuals, and video assets.
  • Amazon Advertising, Promotions, and Analytics
    • Develop, implement, and optimise advertising strategies across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display to achieve ACOS/ROAS targets.
    • Plan and execute promotions, including Lightning Deals, Coupons, and seasonal campaigns (Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Week, Christmas), ensuring alignment with global priorities and local needs.
    • Analyse sales, traffic, conversion, and advertising data using Amazon reports and BI tools, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
    • Collaborate with creative, marketing, and cross-functional teams to align off-Amazon campaigns, promotions, and content updates with Amazon strategy.
  • Compliance & Account Health
    • Ensure all Amazon activities comply with Amazon policies and European regulations, including consumer product and advertising laws.
    • Monitor Account Health Dashboard and address issues such as listing suppressions, policy violations, IP complaints, or negative feedback.
    • Implement preventative measures to safeguard account integrity and operational continuity.
  • Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Serve as the founding Amazon EU team member, building and scaling the team within the first few months.
    • Hire, train, and manage additional team members as the business grows.
    • Establish KPIs, workflows, and SOPs for EU/UK marketplace operations.
    • Collaborate with merchandising, allocation, creative, performance marketing, logistics, and legal teams.
    • Maintain close coordination with the China-based e-commerce team to adapt proven practices for the EU/UK market.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on Amazon Seller Central management experience for a brand or branded seller, with proven success in growing marketplace performance and scaling revenues across multiple EU marketplaces
  • Strong operational expertise in FBA, listing management, feed uploads, and logistics, with solid knowledge of VAT, tax, and compliance requirements for UK/EU Amazon sellers
  • Proficient in Amazon tools and features, including PAN-EU FBA, Brand Registry & Brand Store, Advertising Console, and Business/Brand Analytics
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability to interpret sales, traffic, and advertising data; BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) or SQL experience is a plus
  • Proven success in setting up processes, building scalable workflows, and managing cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience creating, managing, and optimising Amazon PPC campaigns with a focus on ACOS, ROAS, and other performance KPIs
  • Strong collaboration skills with marketing, content, and creative teams to deliver a consistent, high-converting brand presence on Amazon
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with leadership capabilities; previous team management or mentoring experience is highly desirable

Desirable but Not Essential

  • Experience in the toy industry or pop culture retail sector.
