The Role and Candidate

We are looking for a data driven and detail oriented professional to support business performance monitoring and analysis across POP MART’s European business. This role focuses on operational reporting, performance tracking, and business insight generation across key revenue channels, including physical stores, vending machines, and online business. You will support the business by monitoring core operational indicators, identifying trends and issues through data, and helping teams better understand performance through clear, accurate, and practical analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Establish daily, weekly and monthly monitoring for core operational indicators, including revenue, gross profit, expense ratio, payment collection, labour efficiency and store efficiency, across all revenue channels such as physical stores, vending machines and online business
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly operational reports in a timely manner, benchmark performance against budget, year on year and month on month data, and analyse the causes of performance gaps
  • Track key business indicators including sales volume, average transaction value, conversion rate and profit margin, and provide regular operational analysis to support performance improvement
  • Analyse the performance of different markets, stores and vending machines, identify trends and issues, and support the development of targeted actions to improve profitability
  • Support the Business Development team with data input for store and vending machine site selection, based on market data and operational analysis
  • Support monthly and quarterly operational review meetings by preparing review materials and presentations, highlighting business progress, key issues and improvement priorities, and tracking follow up actions
  • Work closely with the Finance team to verify operational, cost and expense data, align statistical definitions, resolve data discrepancies, and ensure management reporting is accurate and reliable

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of business analysis experience; candidates with experience in management consulting, internet business analysis, retail operations analysis, or other relevant analytical experience, or those with extensive professional experience are preferred
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, capable of handling complex issues with structured thinking and analytical abilities
  • Proactive, hands-on, and entrepreneurial mindset with experience working in a fast-paced business environment
  • Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Data-sensitive, able to identify business trends and issues through data analysis; proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau is preferred, but strong willingness to learn is a must
  • Proficiency in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing), with extensive experience in cross-team project collaboration and communication

Desirable but Not Essential

  • Experience in the toy industry or pop culture retail sector
  • Familiarity with Local and European retail landscapes
  • Understanding of designer toy and collectible trends, particularly in the art toy market
  • Experience supporting operational reporting across multiple countries or regions
  • Understanding of retail KPIs including conversion rate, ATV, margin, labour efficiency and inventory performance
  • Exposure to data governance, reporting automation, or process improvement initiatives
  • Experience within retail, consumer goods, eCommerce, or multi-site operations environments
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, POS or business intelligence systems
  • Familiarity with dashboard tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker
