The Role and Candidate
We are searching for a Supervisor to work alongside our Assistant Store Manager in our new Glasgow store! This is a key role in managing the store across all aspects of retail operations and ensuring the sales team provides exceptional customer service that meets POP MART's standards. As a Supervisor, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the store, leading and motivating the team, maintaining excellent operational standards, and helping deliver an outstanding experience for every POP MART customer.
Responsibilities
- Act as the store-in-charge when required, overseeing all aspects of store operations
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints professionally
- Train, supervise and support the sales team, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to develop strategies for achieving sales targets
- Support the team in delivering and exceeding daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
- Closely monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the merchandising team and management for replenishment
- Control stock discrepancies by monitoring inventory levels, following stock procedures and helping prevent shoplifting
- Own visual merchandising standards and ensure the store's presentation, tidiness and cleanliness are maintained at the highest level
- Manage the cashier point’s daily opening and closing procedures
- Conduct regular staff meetings and team briefings to communicate goals, expectations, updates and operational priorities
- Assist with recruitment, evaluation of potential candidates’ performance and training of new team members
- Support employee performance management and provide coaching and feedback where required
- Perform administrative tasks such as rota scheduling, daily operations and sales reporting
- Ensure company policies, procedures and health and safety standards are consistently followed
- Support the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager with wider store projects and operational initiatives
- Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in professional English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive with strong customer service skills and a genuine commitment to providing a memorable shopping experience
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or leading a team
- Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proficient in administrative tasks such as rota scheduling and reporting
- Effective time management and task prioritisation abilities
- Team-oriented with the ability to motivate, coach and inspire others
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to store operations

- Multilingual language ability
- Retail management or supervisory experience within department stores, flagship stores or concession environments
- Experience within fashion, lifestyle, entertainment, toys, collectibles or other customer-focused retail environments
- Previous experience working with stock management and visual merchandising
- Passion for designer collectibles, character IPs, art, fashion, pop culture or the wider trend culture industry
