Pertemps Sheffield are partnering with Royal Mail and are recruiting. If you are an HGV C+E Class 1 Driver looking for work in the Normanton/Wakefield area, this role may be for you. The majority of the work is trunking, including collections and deliveries of the UK\'s mail to depots and mail centres nationally. Flexible / Adhoc day drivers, afternoons and nights are available.
You will need to be an experienced driver with a minimum of 180 days of driving experience within the last 2 years and have held your licence for 2 years, with fewer than 6 points for minor offences (no DD, DR, IN endorsements and less than 6 infringements).
The ideal candidate will be flexible to work any shifts, including weekend work with rest days during the week.
Responsibilities
- Operate as an HGV C+E driver with trunking work for Royal Mail.
- Perform collections and deliveries to depots and mail centres nationally.
- Work flexible shifts including days, afternoons and nights; weekend work may be required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 180 days driving experience in the last 2 years.
- Held licence for at least 2 years.
- Less than 6 points for minor offences (no DD, DR, IN endorsements).
In Return, HGV Drivers Will Receive
- Good basic rate of pay.
- Driving assessments.
- Minimum daily hours guarantee of 7.25 hours.
- Accrued holiday pay (PAYE).
- Access to pension (PAYE).

- Weekly pay.
- Onsite subsidised canteen facility.

Pay Rates
- Basic Rate - £20.82
- Dawn Rate (02:01 – 04:00) - £21.83
- Early Rate 1 (04:01 – 05:00) - £21.35
- Early Rate 2 (05:01 – 05:30) - £21.08
- Evening Rate (20:00 – 21:39) - £21.57
- Late Rate (21:40 – 01:59) - £22.42
- Night Rate (23:00 – 05:00) - £23.85
Due to the nature of the client’s business, you will be required to clear a CRB security check after registration.
