A well-established construction specialist is seeking a Design Manager to lead the delivery of complex structural and industrial construction projects. This role would suit a Design Manager with experience across industrial or specialist fit-out projects, who is comfortable managing multidisciplinary teams from post-tender through to completion. The successful candidate will take ownership of the design process, ensuring coordination, compliance, and buildability across all stages of delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Project & Design Management
- Lead the process from post-tender through to project completion
- Coordinate architects, engineers, and specialist subcontractors
- Manage programmes, technical queries, and change control
- Identify, manage, and mitigate design and construction-related risks
- Team & Stakeholder Coordination
- Communicate intent clearly to internal and external teams
- Ensure alignment between development and site delivery
- Act as the central point of contact
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with specifications, regulations, and industry standards
- Carry out reviews and technical audits
- Undertake site visits to ensure works align with approved designs
- Client Engagement
- Liaise with clients to understand requirements and project constraints
- Provide practical, buildable solutions
- Support the project team in managing client expectations
About You:
- Background in construction, architecture, civil/structural engineering, or industrial fit-out
- Experience as a Design Manager, Design Coordinator, or similar role
- Experience in industrial or large-scale fit-out environments is highly desirable
- Working knowledge of BIM and design coordination processes
- Organised, proactive, and confident coordinating multiple stakeholders
