About the job Pay: Up to £65,000 per year + Benefits Job Description Are you an experienced Electrical Project Manager or Contracts Manager looking for your next challenge? Our client, based on the Dudley & Wolverhampton border, is a specialist Mechanical & Electrical contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a variety of sectors. They are seeking a full-time, permanent Project / Contracts Manager to join their growing team. This is an office-based role with regular site visits as required. The company specialises in industrial and commercial projects ranging from new warehouse fit-outs to hotel refurbishments. They also undertake work within care homes, leisure facilities, and public sector buildings, offering a varied and interesting project portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from tender handover through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. A strong electrical background is essential, with knowledge of mechanical installations being advantageous. Responsibilities * Manage electrical and M&E projects from tender award through to final completion. * Review tender documentation and work closely with the commercial and estimating teams during project handover. * Plan, programme, and coordinate all project activities to ensure successful delivery. * Manage subcontractors, suppliers, site teams, and client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. * Monitor project budgets, variations, procurement, and cost control. * Attend client, site, and progress meetings. * Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and company procedures. * Oversee project quality standards and ensure successful project handover. * Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with values up to £2m. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. * Resolve project issues and risks efficiently to minimise delays and maximise project performance. Skills & Experience Required * Minimum 2-3 years' experience in an Electrical Project Manager, Contracts Manager, or similar role within the M&E sector. * Strong understanding of electrical installations within commercial and industrial environments. * Experience managing projects from pre-construction/tender handover through to completion. * Good commercial awareness with the ability to manage project costs and variations. * Excellent communication and client-facing skills. * Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail. * Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure. * Knowledge of mechanical services installations would be advantageous. * Full UK Driving Licence What We're Looking For We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded individual who can take ownership of projects, build strong client relationships, and ensure successful project delivery from start to finish.
