Poolhall Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our manufacturing client, a well-established, family-run structural steel business, for an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join their growing team. You’ll be working within a small, close-knit team, producing high-quality structural and secondary steelwork.

Role & Responsibilities
- MIG welding and fabrication of structural and secondary steelwork
- Manufacturing components such as beams, gates, staircases, balustrades, walkways, and frameworks
- Working on heavy-duty fencing systems
- Carrying out multi-run MIG welding (up to 25mm – advantageous)
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Producing work to a high standard of accuracy and finish
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder / Fabricator
- Strong background in structural steel fabrication
- Experience fabricating structural and secondary steelwork
- Ability to carry out heavy-duty MIG welding, including multi-run welds
- Confident reading and working from engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
Desirable Experience
- Experience fabricating gates and structural frameworks
- Previous work to BS EN 1090 standards (EXC2 / EXC3)
- Experience with heavy-duty fencing systems
- Background in large structural or portal frame projects
