Due to continued demand and expansion across our client base, we are recruiting for multiple roles within our Private Client Team, based in Barrow‑in‑Furness (with flexibility across our other offices and hybrid working considered).

The Opportunity
As part of the continued expansion of our Private Client Department, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Private Client to lead, develop and manage this key area of the business. This is a senior role offering the opportunity to shape departmental strategy while maintaining a personal caseload and mentoring a growing team.
The Role
A senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor looking to shape and lead a growing department, while maintaining a hands‑on caseload.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Leading and developing the Private Client Department
- Managing departmental performance, compliance, and service standards
- Supervising and mentoring solicitors, a trainee solicitor and administrative staff
- Maintaining a personal caseload including wills, probate, trusts, estate administration, LPAs and deputyships
- Supporting business development and departmental marketing initiatives
- Ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory and professional requirements
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in private client work
- Strong leadership and people‑management capability
- Excellent technical knowledge and client‑care skills
- Commercial awareness with experience of meeting financial targets
- STEP qualification desirable (or willingness to work towards)
