The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the Assistant Production Manager, as well as setting up and operating machinery when required. The role involves coordinating daily production activities by aligning output with production schedules, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring effective allocation of tasks across the team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Production Oversight
- Support the planning, coordination, and supervision of manufacturing processes.
- Track production schedules to ensure products are completed and delivered on time.
- Detect workflow inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve productivity.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure all products meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Manage non-conformances, including scrap and rework, taking corrective action as needed.
- Encourage and uphold a right-first-time approach to manufacturing.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Act as the link between management and shopfloor teams.
- Provide visible leadership and support to manufacturing.
- Maintain a regular presence on the shopfloor.
- Coach individuals in the moment to reinforce correct ways of working.
- Act as the first point of contact for questions or operational concerns.
- Record attendance, timekeeping and payroll-related information accurately through required channels.
- Conduct return-to-work meetings and support absence management.
- Contribute to investigations and performance-related discussions.
- Monitor productivity, accuracy and adherence to standard processes.
- Highlight performance gaps and support agreed corrective actions.

Qualifications
- NVQ/ Level 3 qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Production Operations. (Desirable)

- Excellent time-management, planning, and organisational skills to meet deadlines and effective delegation skills to handle multiple properties. (Essential)

Knowledge

Experience
