Due to continuing growth, we are delighted to be expanding our Residential Property team and are seeking a qualified Residential Property Lawyer with a real passion for residential conveyancing. Please note this is a full‑time, office‑based role located at Poole Alcock’s Head Office in Northwich, Cheshire (CW9 7RA).
Due to the responsibility for the day‑to‑day supervision, support and oversight of your team, the business requires this role to be performed on a full‑time basis to ensure effective management, compliance and service delivery. This role is ideal for someone who doesn’t just do conveyancing, but genuinely enjoys the work, is excited by the fast pace of residential conveyancing, takes pride in guiding clients through one of the most important transactions of their lives, and wants to be part of a team that values quality, relationships and professionalism.

Responsibilities- You will manage a full traditional residential conveyancing caseload from after instruction through to completion while leading and supervising a team within the Residential Conveyancing department.
- You will be responsible for delivering excellent client care which is the front of what Poole Alcock stand for and in line with the firm’s Committed to Excellence pledge, achieving financial and operational targets, and ensuring that both you and your team operate in full compliance with professional standards, firm procedures and agreed service levels.
- Managing a varied traditional residential conveyancing caseload with a proactive, client‑focused approach.
- Line managing, supervising and supporting assistants and fee earners.
- Ensuring consistently high standards of client service, communication and responsiveness.
- Meeting personal and team billing, gross profit and cash‑recovery targets.
- Managing the financial aspects of files in line with agreed write‑off parameters.
- Ensuring files are opened, progressed and managed in line with internal processes and any agreed SLAs.
- Supporting business growth through conversion of enquiries and cross‑selling of services.
- Maintaining accurate client, matter and enquiry data and ensuring effective use of case management systems.
- Demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
