Pool Hayes Academy are looking to appoint a self-motivated and committed Teaching Assistant, with a real drive to enhance students’ experience of secondary education. The successful candidate will work in partnership with class teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, SEND Code of Practice and academy policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

The department is part of a well led, dynamic team, whose colleagues all enjoy supporting the Academy and its culture of outstanding success amongst our students. The appointed candidate will establish positive relationships with all students and implement planned learning activities/teaching programs as agreed with the teacher, SENCO or Assistant SENCO, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a good basic education to GCSE level 4/C+ (to include English and Maths), have knowledge and an understanding of strategies needed to help and support students with learning and be an ambitious professional and will join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring; creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students.
