Overview
An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing DTC pet brand and help shape the creative strategy behind our paid social advertising. We’re looking for someone who lives at the intersection of performance marketing and creative storytelling – someone who can turn ideas into thumb-stopping ads that drive real results.
This role is not organic social media management or design – it’s about using creativity to improve paid performance across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
What you’ll do
- Lead creative strategy for paid social campaigns: Own the creative testing roadmap, identifying new hooks, formats, and messaging angles.
- Analyse and optimise creative performance: Break down results by format, hook, and audience to inform what we scale or pause.
- Collaborate with creators: Brief, manage, and optimise relationships with UGC creators and influencers, ensuring assets are built for conversion.
- Produce and edit content yourself: Confidently create and adapt short-form video ads using tools like CapCut.
- Bridge brand and performance: Work with the Paid Social Manager to ensure all ads are both on-brand and performance-optimised.
- Stay ahead of trends: Identify emerging formats, platform changes, and creative opportunities, ensuring Pooch & Mutt stays at the forefront of paid social.
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years hands-on paid social experience: You’ve run and optimised campaigns in Ads Manager (Meta, TikTok, YouTube).
- Creative-first mindset: You’re passionate about what makes content “convert” in ads, not just what looks good.
- UGC & influencer experience: You know how to brief, direct, and edit creator content for performance.
- Analytical ability: Comfortable interpreting performance metrics and making creative decisions based on data.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in mobile-first video editing (e.g. CapCut).
- Strong communicator: Able to translate results into clear takeaways for stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience in DTC/ecommerce brands.
- Familiarity with pet, lifestyle, or wellness audiences.
- Understanding of Advantage+ shopping campaigns, Spark Ads, or YouTube formats.
