This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to be part of a 24/7/365 shift rota, dedicated to monitoring and ensuring the health of our systems. You will initially train in Warwick before settling into the Wokingham office. Get ready to engage with diverse teams and contribute to the reliable operation of energy networks across the UK!

Key Accountabilities

As a System Ops Health Analyst, you will:

  • Provide round-the-clock system health and proactive monitoring of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) services, including applications, middleware, databases, operating systems, and server infrastructures.
  • Deliver 1st line support to ensure CNI systems/services meet their SLAs.
  • Collaborate effectively with second- and third-line support teams, system managers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with security and CNI regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Underpin critical business processes essential for the efficient operation of the clients' energy networks.
About You

We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

  • A strong background in relevant technologies (e.g., Wintel, Unix, BMC products, SCADA Telemetry).
  • Experience supporting mission-critical systems with comprehensive knowledge of system technologies, networking, monitoring tools, and processes.
  • A solid operational background paired with analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of Service Management practices (e.g., change and release management) and risk/issue management, preferably with ITIL processes and tools.
  • Awareness of mechanical and electrical infrastructure within Data Centres or Building Management Systems is a plus!
Qualifications

Essential: Relevant experience and technical know-how. Preferred: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. ITIL qualifications and familiarity with Wintel, BMX, Unix, and RHEL are also desirable.
