Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Revenue Accountant to manage revenue financials, including actuals, budgets, forecasts, and regulatory returns.
  • Support the month-end revenue process by verifying the accuracy and completeness of all inputs and outputs.
  • Analyse revenue-related balance sheet positions and assist in reconciling control accounts regularly.
  • Prepare insightful financial reports on revenue, highlighting key variances and addressing queries across Finance and the business.
  • Ensure proper execution of controls within the function, escalating any issues as necessary.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue-related queries and contribute to ad-hoc projects, particularly those involving regulatory changes.
  • Build knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy.

What We're Looking For:

  • Transactional Accounting Experience: Essential for understanding accounting entries, P&L, and month-end processes.
  • A minimum of AAT qualification or relevant degree with experience is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a willingness to research licences and codes to understand revenue impacts.
  • Governance and Risk Management Knowledge: A solid understanding of internal control frameworks is crucial.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Workday and Ivaluer would be beneficial.
