Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Revenue Accountant to manage revenue financials, including actuals, budgets, forecasts, and regulatory returns.
- Support the month-end revenue process by verifying the accuracy and completeness of all inputs and outputs.
- Analyse revenue-related balance sheet positions and assist in reconciling control accounts regularly.
- Prepare insightful financial reports on revenue, highlighting key variances and addressing queries across Finance and the business.
- Ensure proper execution of controls within the function, escalating any issues as necessary.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue-related queries and contribute to ad-hoc projects, particularly those involving regulatory changes.
- Build knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
What We're Looking For:
- Transactional Accounting Experience: Essential for understanding accounting entries, P&L, and month-end processes.
- A minimum of AAT qualification or relevant degree with experience is essential.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a willingness to research licences and codes to understand revenue impacts.
- Governance and Risk Management Knowledge: A solid understanding of internal control frameworks is crucial.
