Are you an experienced Category Manager with a background in Technical Engineering Consulting Services? If so, our client is seeking an exceptional individual to lead the development of a comprehensive category strategy that aligns with their engineering consulting needs. As the Category Manager, you will be accountable for:
- Developing a long-term category strategy for Technical Engineering Consulting Services (TECS) that aligns with business priorities and future investment plans.
- Designing a structured market engagement strategy to enhance competition and promote innovation within the engineering consulting ecosystem.
- Defining contracting models and commercial frameworks that support diverse engineering delivery requirements.
- Identifying and mitigating category risks, including talent shortages and market fluctuations.
Significant experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or commercial management within professional services or engineering consulting is required. A solid understanding of Technical Engineering Consulting Services and the ability to quickly adapt to its dynamics is essential. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage market data for strategic decision-making, are necessary. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively engage across procurement and executive teams are also important. PA23 experience is essential, along with a focus on capital projects rather than operational projects.
