Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Charge: Coordinate, analyse, and report emissions data to help achieve our client's carbon targets while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Drive Sustainability: Support the environmental action plan and advocate for best practices in carbon management within construction activities.
- Engage Stakeholders: Communicate carbon data effectively to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
- Data Assurance: Conduct thorough assurance of carbon data, providing insightful analysis to identify key trends.
- Support Behavioural Change: Facilitate sustainability training and carbon literacy programs across the organisation.
- High-Performance Team: Be an integral part of a dynamic team committed to professionalism, integrity, and delivering impactful results.
Key Accountabilities:
- Carbon Reporting: Manage carbon reporting at different stages of the NDP.
- Enhance Tools: Maintain and improve carbon foot printing tools and the Carbon Asset Database.
- KPI Development: Create meaningful KPIs and monthly performance reports for capital carbon projects.
- Sustainable Practices: Develop best practices for low-carbon construction.
- Support SBT: Provide expertise in carbon management across scope 1 and 2, aiding in the delivery of Science-Based Targets.
- Influence Contractors: Encourage compliance with sustainability policies and promote high standards of carbon management on construction sites.
- Performance Information: Deliver performance information to management teams to add value.
- Promote SHE Culture: Foster a positive Safety, Health, and Environment culture through proactive behaviours.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Data Proficiency: Strong numerical skills with advanced Excel capabilities; experience with Power BI is preferred.
- Passion for Sustainability: A genuine enthusiasm for environmental sustainability and a drive to achieve results.
- Technical Expertise: Suitable technical qualification (Degree, ONC, Diploma or equivalent) and membership of IEMA or similar professional body desirable.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Carbon Management Knowledge: Solid understanding of carbon management, greenhouse gas accounting, and construction processes. Good understanding of Carbon Emissions from Constructions and sustainability.
- Regulatory Experience: Previous experience with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders is preferred.
