About the Role

As an Environmental & Sustainability Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in reducing environmental risks associated with construction activities. You'll provide expert advice and guidance to the EGL1 IJV project team, ensuring that our operations in both England and Scotland align with best practices in environmental management and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visible environmental engagement across EGL1 and its supply chain through on-site visits.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to develop and implement a proactive environmental strategy.
  • Monitor contractor performance and compliance across all EGL1 IJV operations.
  • Advise project leadership on performance against environmental targets and key performance indicators.
  • Support the management of environmental incidents, offering expertise and assistance.
  • Foster a positive environmental and sustainability culture throughout the project.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, capable of building relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage and inform both internal and external stakeholders positively.
  • A drive for continuous improvement with experience in change management.
  • An enthusiastic presence that leaves a positive impression.

  • Outstanding organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.
  • A current driving license, as travel within England and Scotland is required.
