Join Our Client as a Senior Project Manager in Energy Transmission and Distribution! Are you a dynamic and experienced project manager ready to tackle complex, multi-disciplinary projects in the energy sector? About the Role: As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering projects to success, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations. You will also mentor and coach less experienced project managers, fostering a culture of growth and improvement. Your leadership will be essential in navigating the complexities of the energy transmission and distribution industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Control: Take overall accountability for planning, executing, and closing projects to meet time, cost, quality, and benefit targets. Manage exceptions and dependencies effectively.
- Governance: Implement corporate delivery standards, including initiation documents, management stages, and highlight reports to ensure project integrity.
- Risk and Issue Management: Maintain risk registers and lead mitigation efforts while embedding learnings into future projects.
- Commercial Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecast expenses, and liaise with procurement teams to manage contracts efficiently.
- Quality Assurance: Lead quality management activities to ensure deliverables meet or exceed standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, regulators, and sponsors; chair key governance forums and project boards.
- Change Control: Assess and authorise changes to project scope, schedule, or costs, ensuring thorough evaluation.
- Team Leadership: Motivate and guide your project team, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities while coaching others.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive best practises and foster an environment of learning and enhancement.
