Join our dynamic technology organization as a DevOps / Systems Engineer! We are on the lookout for a talented professional with extensive Azure expertise to help us enhance and govern our cloud environments. If you're passionate about designing and implementing robust cloud architectures with a security-first mindset, this is the opportunity for you!
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure landing zones, adhering to cloud architecture principles.
- Configure and optimize hub-and-spoke network topologies for seamless connectivity.
- Implement secure connectivity patterns, including VPN Gateways, VNETs, UDRs, and routing.
- Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure-as-code modules and pipelines.
- Enhance cloud governance with Azure-native security controls, policies, and frameworks.
- Collaborate with security, data, and platform teams to deliver scalable and maintainable cloud solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Azure Landing Zone Competency: Strong grasp of shared services and governance within landing zone architecture.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proven experience using Terraform to deploy and manage Azure resources.
- Security Focus: Knowledge of Azure-native security tools, including Azure Firewall, Azure Policy, and Network Security Groups (NSGs). Ability to embed security-by-design principles across cloud deployments.
Desirable Experience (Bonus)
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or other cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
Offering
- Location: Edinburgh (Remote available)
- Remuneration: 700 per day (via Umbrella Company)
- Contract Details: Fixed Term Contract, 6 months
