Job Description
Reconciliation Analyst – Cash/Nostro
London

One of our large financial clients is currently looking for a reconciliation analyst
- Plays a key role to ensure BAU and other daily team tasks are completed accurately, on time and to the expected standards in accordance with operational procedures and controls.
- Escalates issues and challenges, reports routinely and updates team leader promptly.
- Proactively reviews and maintains desktop procedures relating to day to day processes. Makes regular suggestions to improve and enhance operational process flows.
- Makes suggestions based on analysis and evidence and explores ways to improve efficiency within the remit of their role.
- Reconcile the Bank's general ledger to the various sub-ledger systems on a daily basis and investigate any differences for all EMEA Offices.
- Reconcile the EMEA Offices Wash accounts to ensure that all accounts are nil on a daily basis, escalating breaks for clearance.
- Monitor the EMEA Offices bank and customer Contingent Liabilities on a daily basis and investigate any differences.
- Reconcile the Bank's Nostro accounts for EMEA Offices, ensure detailed information is received for all unmatched items and updated in the reconciliation database/tool.
- Liaise with OAD Sections across EMEA to ensure unmatched Nostro items are cleared in a timely manner.
- Reconcile Interest and Charges across all EMEA Nostro accounts.
- Investigate and secure clearance of exceptions (breaks), identified through reconciliation of Nostro accounts.
- Process interest claims on Investigations, ensuring delayed payment received or value correction at lowest cost to the Bank or Customer.
- Support team members to ensure all allocated work is completed in a timely manner with high standards and controls being maintained.
- To reconcile the 5 sub-ledgers to GL to ensure the GL balances are fully substantiated by the corresponding sub ledger balances. It is an important measure to ensure the integrity of the GL balances.
Proactively follows compliance procedures and completes tasks accurately and promptly. Attends compliance training and integrates learning and requirements into the day to day delivery of tasks, demonstrating an understanding of applicable risks and controls.

- Stock reconciliation could be beneficial (Desirable)
- Self motivated, well organised, energetic, flexible and collaborative.
