Location: Oxford (hybrid), must be commutable
Day Rate: £36-£40ph (PAYE/Umbrella)
Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We're on the lookout for a dynamic and enthusiastic Procurement Engineer to join our vibrant team on a 12 month contract! What You'll Do:
As our clients Procurement Engineer, you are responsible for collaborating with suppliers globally ensuring design for manufacture and design to cost targets are met, prior to purchasing the newly design components. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and source components and equipment.
- Evaluating suppliers and negotiating contracts to secure the best value.
- Analysing procurement processes and identifying areas for improvement.
- Managing inventory and ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
- Supporting the engineering team with technical specifications and requirements.
This is a great time to be joining us, as our products continue to support access to medical imaging for everyone around the world. You will be responsible for a broad portfolio of globally sourced components, developing and implementing the long-term sourcing strategies.
Who You Are:
We're looking for someone who is not just qualified but also passionate about what they do! The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Broad knowledge within engineering and ideally different manufacturing methods.
- Proven experience in procurement, within the engineering sector.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- A detail-oriented mindset with excellent analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with PLC systems and components is a plus!
- Any healthcare experience would likely be useful.
