Our market-leading financial services client is seeking a Junior UX Designer with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a strong ambition to grow within the UX field. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a talented design team, learning from experienced Interaction Designers while contributing your own ideas and creativity. You will work confidently with established design systems and champion best practices in user experience.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating simple, intuitive user experiences.
- You are self-driven, curious, and empathetic, with a sharp eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills are essential - you feel confident explaining your ideas and walking others through your design process.
- A design degree, 1 year of demonstrable self-initiated design projects, or 1 year of experience in a professional environment.
- You have an exciting portfolio of past creative projects to talk us through.
- Figma software experience - Desirable.
- An understanding of Design Thinking, UX and research worked with design systems or at least components.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams (UX Writers, Service designers, Visual designers) - Desirable.
- An appreciation of customer inclusion - what it means to make an inclusive and accessible design that will be used by customers from a wide range of ages, backgrounds and technical abilities.
- An appetite for testing your designs with different users, taking onboard their feedback and presenting this data.
- Balance business requirements with user needs - you will be learning from other designers how research and rationale can align internal customers on individual user needs.
Training and ongoing support is available for the successful candidate. You will be required to work two days per week in the office. One of these days must be at the Halifax office. For the second day, you have the flexibility to work from one of the other local offices - Manchester, Chester, Halifax, or Leeds.
You will be a valued member of our Adecco Emerging Talent function working onsite with a market-leading organisation. Initially, the assignment is 12 months with scope for transitioning permanently in the future, so you need to be someone with a permanent mindset!
