Technical Business Analyst (Financial Crime / Quantexa) Location: London (100 Liverpool Street) Contract: Fixed-Term/Contract Opportunity Department: Transformation & Change Management Sector: Banking & Financial Services The Opportunity We are recruiting for a Technical Business Analyst to join a major Financial Crime Transformation programme within a leading global banking environment. This role will support the implementation of a new Transaction Monitoring solution, working across Compliance, Technology, Data Governance, Operations and third-party vendors. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining data, integration and technical requirements, ensuring data quality and supporting the successful delivery of a strategic financial crime initiative. This opportunity would suit an experienced Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in Financial Crime, Transaction Monitoring, AML, data analysis and systems integration. Key Responsibilities Engage with business and technology stakeholders to gather, analyse and document technical and data requirements. Analyse source systems, data flows, interfaces and system dependencies. Develop and maintain source-to-target mapping documentation. Perform data discovery, profiling and validation activities across multiple source systems. Assess data quality, completeness and integrity, identifying gaps and remediation actions. Support the definition of data governance requirements, critical data elements and data quality controls. Collaborate with technical teams to define integration requirements and support solution design activities. Maintain traceability between business requirements, technical specifications, solution design and testing outcomes. Support data readiness, implementation and production deployment activities. Participate in testing activities including SIT, UAT and data validation. Produce high-quality documentation including data dictionaries, mapping documents, requirements specifications and data gap assessments. Identify, manage and communicate project risks, issues and dependencies. Skills & Experience We are looking for professionals with experience in: Business Analysis within Banking or Financial Services. Financial Crime, AML, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions, Fraud or Compliance transformations. Data analysis, data mapping and data governance. Source-to-target mapping and data lineage. Data quality assessment, profiling and validation. System integrations, interfaces and APIs. Working across both business and technology teams. SDLC, Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies. SIT, UAT and defect management. Desirable Experience Experience in any of the following would be advantageous: Transaction Monitoring implementations. Quantexa or comparable Financial Crime platforms. Capital Markets, Payments, Trade Finance or Transaction Processing environments. Data migration or data integration programmes. SQL, Power BI, Excel or similar analytical tools. Financial Crime Compliance, AML or Sanctions regulations. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be a proactive and analytical Technical Business Analyst who is comfortable operating within complex transformation programmes. You will be able to translate business needs into technical solutions, work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale regulatory change initiatives
