Role Overview:
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will play a vital role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will collaborate with various teams to design and implement BI solutions that enhance our understanding of customer behaviour, sales performance, and market trends. Your analytical skills and technical expertise will be essential in helping us leverage data to optimise our operations and improve customer experiences.
Your Experience Will Include:
- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer or similar role, preferably in the retail industry but open to other corporate experience.
- Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and data warehousing concepts.
- Expert SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, SSIS).
- Experience with data modelling and database design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualisations, that provide insights into key business metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand data needs for various projects.
- Design and implement ETL processes to ensure data integrity and availability for analysis.
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic business decisions.
