Job Title: COMPEX Electrician Pay Rate: £40.00 per hour inside IR35 or £45,000 per annum Location: Norfolk (Diss and Kings Lynn) Contract Type: 6 months + extension Working Pattern: Full Time (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, occasional weekend work) Driving Required: Yes Are you an experienced COMPEX Technician ready to take on an exciting challenge in the Oil & Gas industry? Our client is seeking skilled professionals to support DSEAR rectification works across Norfolk, and we want YOU to be part of this dynamic team! Key Responsibilities: * Installation Expertise: Safely install electrical and instrumentation systems in potentially explosive (ATEX) atmospheres. * Containment Systems: Execute the installation of containment systems and cables with precision. * DSEAR Inspections: Conduct thorough DSEAR inspections to BS EN (phone number removed) standards. * Testing: Perform testing of loops installed, ensuring everything operates flawlessly. * Technical Interpretation: Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and panel layouts. * Equipment Management: Safely isolate and remove redundant electrical equipment when necessary. * Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work meets the latest BS7671 Wiring Regulations. * Collaboration: Liaise with site management and clients to report progress, address issues, and deliver effective solutions. * Safety First: Promote and maintain high standards of health & safety and workmanship across all tasks. What You\'ll Bring to the Table: Essential Qualifications: * CompEx EX01-04 certification (for work in hazardous areas). * Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ/SVQ, BTEC, or equivalent). * Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2022 (18th Edition). * City & Guilds 2391, 2394, or 2395 Inspection & Testing. * Full UK driving licence. * Valid DBS Certificate. Experience & Skills: * Proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry. * Strong knowledge of hazardous area classifications and relevant regulations. * Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. * Excellent communication and documentation skills. * A methodical, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented approach.
