We're recruiting for an experienced Business Agility Lead (BAL) to join a major UK banking organisation and play a key role in driving agile maturity, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement across large-scale technology and business teams. Working closely with Lab Leaders, Product Leaders, and Technology Leaders, you'll be responsible for coaching teams and senior stakeholders, improving delivery performance, and embedding agile principles that enable faster, more predictable delivery of value to customers and colleagues. This role offers the opportunity to influence at a senior level, shape organisational culture, and support the evolution of agile practices across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Lab Leaders (typically overseeing colleagues) to improve performance, delivery maturity, and organisational agility.
  • Coach and mentor senior stakeholders to embed agile principles, behaviours, and product-centric ways of working.
  • Drive cultural and mindset change, helping teams focus on customer value and measurable business outcomes.
  • Analyse delivery metrics, trends, and performance data to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and improve team productivity.
  • Support labs in optimising workflows, delivery cadence, team structures, and agile practices.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, proactively identifying areas for enhancement and providing coaching to bring teams back on track when required.

Essential Experience

  • Agile Coaching & Leadership
  • Proven experience working as an Agile Coach, Business Agility Lead, or in a similar transformation-focused role.
  • Demonstrable track record of coaching senior leaders and influencing at executive level.
  • Experience driving agile adoption within large, complex organisations.
  • Relevant agile certifications such as: PSM III, Kanban Certifications, Agile Coaching Qualifications or equivalent industry-recognised certifications.

Agile Tools & Methodologies

  • Strong hands-on experience with: Jira, Jira Align, Confluence.
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and when to apply different frameworks to achieve the best outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Comfortable engaging and influencing stakeholders several levels above your role, including Lab Leaders, Product Leaders, and Technology Leaders.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching, and storytelling capabilities.
  • Ability to balance change initiatives alongside operational delivery priorities.

Desirable Experience

  • Financial Services or other regulated industry experience.
  • Product Management or Product Leadership background.
  • Experience supporting both transformation and business-as-usual delivery environments.
  • Knowledge of scaled agile operating models within large enterprises.

Interview Process

Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams with two interviewers and will include:

  • Role and experience-based competency questions
  • Agile coaching and leadership scenarios
  • Assessment against Lloyds Banking Group values and behaviours
