We are on the lookout for a passionate HVDC Auxiliary Systems & Building Services Engineer to support the delivery of the groundbreaking Eastern Green Link 1 (EGL1) project.

About the Role: The EGL1 project is set to revolutionise Great Britain's electricity infrastructure. This ambitious undertaking involves the construction of a 2 GW high voltage direct current (HVDC) cable link between Torness (Scotland) and Murton (England). Your role will be essential in increasing boundary transfer capacity to accommodate more renewable generation, thus supporting the net-zero agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Delivery: Oversee Building Services documentation, ensuring compliance with designs and specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Lead reviews of contractor quality documentation and ensure adherence to contract requirements.
- Site Management: Plan and manage interfaces with contractors during construction, ensuring high-quality build and compliance.
- Health & Safety: Monitor contractors to uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
What We're Looking For:
- A driven individual enthusiastic about enabling Net Zero infrastructure.
- Significant experience in project development and delivery of complex energy or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledgeable about auxiliary power systems and building services including transformers, switchgear, generators, and more.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
- Resilient and effective in managing time within a dynamic environment.
