Location: Home-based (with weekly travel to Marston Green + occasional site visits - Travel expenses provided)

Day Rate: Circa 525/day (via Umbrella)
The Opportunity:
We're supporting a major UK infrastructure programme at the heart of the energy transition, delivering large-scale electricity transmission upgrades across England and Wales. This is a key Quantity Surveyor position within a strategic infrastructure team, where you will take ownership of significant work packages across complex, high-value construction projects. You will act as the commercial lead for your package, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the commercial and contractual management of major construction packages
- Managing costs, forecasts, and spend against budget
- Leading on NEC4 contract administration (Options A, C, and E)
- Handling variations, compensation events, and payment processes
- Providing commercial challenge and ensuring projects remain financially controlled
- Supporting procurement activity and advising on contract strategy
- Working closely with project delivery teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks, delays, and cost overruns
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction projects
- Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (Options A, C and E)
- Experience owning or leading packages of work on large-scale projects
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- Strong commercial acumen - able to challenge costs and manage risk effectively
- Experience within regulated environments (utilities, infrastructure, energy, rail, etc.) is highly desirable
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
Working Arrangements:
- Home-based contract = Travel expenses covered for site attendance
- Weekly presence required at Marston Green project office
- Additional travel to sites and Warwick offices as needed
