Our client, a leading organisation in the banking industry, is seeking a dynamic Business Support Manager to join their Global Markets Operations (GMO) team based in Bedworth. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a global operation with approximately 5,000 employees, where you’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and strategic initiatives.
Role Overview:
As the Business Support Manager, you will be the heartbeat of the organisation, coordinating a variety of operational, financial, and strategic activities. Your expertise will serve as a central point of contact for senior leadership, ensuring effective governance and decision-making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Analytics & Reporting: Develop and communicate business analytics to spotlight improvement opportunities. Produce operational and financial reports to facilitate senior leadership decisions. Partner with analytics teams to enhance data accuracy and increase automation.
- Financial Management & Forecasting: Support financial planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring. Analyse financial performance, identifying key trends and variances. Collaborate with Finance partners for P&L oversight and transparency.
- Operational Excellence & Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual workflows. Support senior executives on strategic projects and governance routines. Identify opportunities for new tools to boost operational effectiveness.
- Leadership Communications & Connectivity: Communicate GMO’s strategic priorities for clarity and alignment. Coordinate management meetings and governance forums. Partner with HR and Operations on workforce planning and compliance.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure adherence to operational risk frameworks. Support risk identification and mitigation planning. Align business management activities with regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Solid financial acumen with experience in forecasting and budgeting.
- Strong understanding of P&L management and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data modelling and financial analysis.
- Exceptional data analysis capabilities with a knack for translating complex data into insights.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly in supporting senior leadership.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outputs.
- Excellent communication skills.
