We require a strong Data Analyst with financial experience to join a Technology Business Management team ensuring accurate costings for their infrastructure operations spend. You will be modelling (Excel) the cost of operations into Apptio.

Essential: We want someone who has worked on IT Finance data so you will have knowledge around finance.

Role Overview

This role sits within the Technology Business Management (TBM) team supporting Infrastructure & Operations (I&O). TBM provides a structured way of connecting technology spend to the services, platforms, applications, and business outcomes it supports.

The role supports the development and delivery of TBM outputs, including cost transparency views, service and product costings, cost drivers, allocation logic, and insight that helps stakeholders understand where technology costs sit, what drives them, and how they can be managed. This is a hands-on modelling and analysis role suited to someone who enjoys turning complex financial and operational data into clear, usable outputs that support decision-making across Technology, Finance, and Service teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and enhance TBM models supporting cost transparency
  • Structure and transform large, complex datasets (financial and operational)
  • Develop Excel-based models for analysis and reporting outputs for Apptio
  • Align and reconcile data across multiple sources (e.g. GL, vendor, operational data)
  • Translate raw data into structured TBM outputs (cost views, cost drivers, allocations)
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues and inconsistencies
  • Collaborate with TBM, Finance, and Service teams to ensure accuracy and usability of outputs

Skills & Experience Required

Core Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data modelling and analysis (Excel-heavy)
  • Advanced Excel capability (large datasets, complex formulas, structured modelling)
  • Strong ability to work with complex and unstructured data
  • Experience building models from scratch and enhancing existing models
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Supporting Experience:

  • Solid financial understanding (cost structures, forecasting logic, interpreting financial data)

Desirable:

  • Exposure to Technology Business Management (TBM)
  • Experience working with IT or Infrastructure cost data
  • Understanding of TBM concepts (cost pools, towers, services, allocations)
  • Familiarity with Apptio or similar tools (not essential)
