About the Role
Our high-profile Client, National Energy System Operator (NESO) is looking for a passionate ERG Associate to join their DEIB team, within the People function. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to kickstart or accelerate their career in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, gaining exposure across a high-profile, forward-thinking organisation!
This role will report to the DEIB Manager with a focus on enabling sustainable ways of working across the ERGs, while also contributing to NESO's wider DEIB goals and priorities. This role provides hands-on experience in ERG operations, stakeholder engagement, governance, and planning – a real stepping stone into a rewarding DEIB career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for ERG queries, providing clarity and guidance on processes
- Maintain and update ERG shared planners, communications calendars, and reporting tools
- Support governance processes, including co-chair and vice-chair interviews, leadership transitions, and forum planning
- Facilitate collaboration between ERGs and internal stakeholders to align activities with organisational priorities
- Track and manage ERG expenses accurately and provide oversight on budgets
- Identify gaps in processes or documentation and create practical tools or guidance to improve ERG operations
- Support the planning and delivery of events, forums, and conferences to enhance ERG engagement
