User Experience Researcher

UX Researcher – Mobile App (Subscriptions Journey)

Location: Bristol – 2 days per week on-site (travel to London fully expensed if required)

Contract: 6 months (potential for extension)

Rate: £600/day (via umbrella) – fixed

The Opportunity:

A new and exciting opportunity has opened for a UX Researcher to lead on a key digital product journey—improving the subscriptions experience within a mobile app used by millions.

You’ll join a newly established product team, working at the heart of user experience to ensure decisions are driven by meaningful, insight-led research. This is a hands-on and autonomous role, where you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering the full research lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading research activity across your product squad
• Designing and delivering both exploratory (discovery) and evaluative research
• Planning and moderating research sessions independently
• Creating collaborative research practices across disciplines
• Facilitating workshops and research playback sessions
• Turning insights into action by influencing product and design decisions
• Acting as the research expert and advocate within your team
• Engaging stakeholders, including product owners, to align on research priorities

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong understanding of user-centred design and UX research methodologies
• Confident with both qualitative and quantitative research techniques
• Able to lead research independently and own the full process end-to-end
• Comfortable working in cross-functional product teams
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and influencing at all levels
• Commercial experience in complex environments, ideally across varied sectors
