Job Description
Technical Writer – AVP | London
Department: Development Team
Location: London 3 days a week onsite
Are you passionate about turning complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation? Join our Development team as a Technical Writer – AVP and play a key role in shaping the way we communicate our software solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation across the software development lifecycle.
- Translate code and technical specifications into clear, accessible documents for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with developers and management to capture business requirements and technical details.
- Guide teams in understanding application architecture, UI design, business data, and internal procedures.
- Facilitate onboarding and knowledge-sharing sessions for new and existing team members.
- Ensure documentation aligns with JRIE’s Change Management Control procedures and QA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce user manuals, technical specs, system operation guides, and internal procedure documents.
- Review and enhance existing documentation for clarity and accuracy.
- Supervise application functionality to ensure alignment with documented processes.
- Maintain strong communication with Development, Technical Support, and Infrastructure teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in technical writing within software development environments.
- Must have hands-on experience with .NET, C#, and SQL.
- Ability to translate complex code and logic into readable, structured documentation.
- Experience using Visio for technical diagrams and SharePoint for document management.
- Must have a proactive mindset and the ability to build strong working relationships with 50+ developers to gather accurate and timely requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
